In my 30 plus years of building, I have seen and experienced some extreme twists and turns of the construction industry. My home building business peaked in 2001. Then the housing crash from 2008-2009 caused me to reposition my focus to renovation and repairs.
In 2016, I’m finding that there is still a high demand for repairs and renovation. The economy is strengthening, but financing remains tight for single-family homes, young professionals are carrying high student loan debt, and there is still a struggle to find well-paying jobs. As a result, people are delaying home buying and choosing to fix and make do with what they already have.
I can assist with a range of repair/renovation type jobs from small, inexpensive projects such as adding storage space or updating fixtures to larger undertakings that leaves very little of the original interior intact. I’ll ask that you provide me with a wish list, and after some consulting I’ll be happy to provide you some ballpark estimates.
